- Nettle Root (Uritica dioica)
- Nettle is a detoxifying agent used
in inflammatory conditions, particularly arthritic (but also skin)
problems. Two of its other properties are believed to add to its
effectiveness for this purpose: it is a diuretic and is believed
to aid in the excretion of metabolic wastes (which are believed to
accumulate in these diseases), and it increases the circulation to
further the body’s inflammatory response.
- In one clinical study, nettle root
was shown to be very effective in reducing prostatic symptoms.
Even with long term use of over four years nettle root exhibited
an ability to maintain a healthy prostate. Nettle is a detoxifying
